I got a kick out of this video on Youtube. Taking a break from this blog and considering whether or not to continue has caused me some concern as the times, they are a changin'... and Cisco seems to be keeping up after it seemed they might lose a set or two to all the attention on cloud computing. Now Cisco Systems is embracing it with "Cisco Master Managed and Cloud Provider Certifications". Though Quest has achieved this newly coveted title, I still wonder who would want to read about it if it weren't in a video upload on YouTube. Google showed it's recognition of the popularity of video by purchasing YouTube. Unless you have a vested interest in Cisco Systems, (which I do not, believe it or not), or just use them as a barometer of the technical weather, you probably don't care about this development. (Present company and all techies out there excluded, of course). My God, I don't want to alienate my few precious readers who stumble upon my blog. I know this is a "no-no", to be so critical of my own blog. Guess I am just a little discouraged. It is sooooo fiercely competitive out there, while at the same time, there seems to be room for all of us bloggers and commentators. Lots to read, lots of great stuff online these days and I sense it’s about to take another quantum leap with multi-platform databases, SQL seems to be on steroids these days. Video popularity going through the roof, now seems as if it's popularity alone is driving the whole thing! Anyway, lets not take ourselves too seriously, kick back and laugh at Cisco trying to be cool.
